We would like to extend a warm welcome to you all and introduce you to our 3 thoughtfully designed holiday cottages. The holiday cottages are designed to suit all visitors taking a holiday in all seasons. They are all well equipped single storey cottages set in a peaceful, rural location in North Yorkshire, making them perfect holiday cottages with disabled access. All of our cottages are pet-friendly so feel free to bring your dog.

Farm and Cottage Holiday

Experience living on a working farm. There is a barn where children (under supervision) can see some of the farm animals and help the farmer feed the pet lambs. The holiday cottages with disabled access are located adjacent to Sparrow Hall, providing easy access to the working farm.

Three holiday cottages with disabled access, all specially adapted for disabled people and open all year. Parking space 20 yards away, no steps.

The cottages are situated around a paved courtyard with a central pond and waterfall. There is a covered verandah for sitting in the sun or evening socialising.

The approach to the accommodation is paved and there is a ramp to the entrance of each cottage. All doorways are three foot wide. Door handles are lever type and there are no steps within the cottages. Oil-Fired central heating throughout.

Dove Court comprises of three holiday cottages with disabled access and are designed to suit both able bodied and disabled visitors taking a holiday in all seasons. All three cottages are self contained single storey units situated around a landscaped courtyard with lawns, troughs of flowers and a water feature providing a tranquil setting.

There is a covered seating area with a BBQ and nearby is an enclosed orchard and play area, including sandpit and swings. There is a barn where children (under supervision) can see some of the farm animals and help the farmer feed the pet lambs.

The cottages all have oil-fired central heating which is inclusive in the tariff and the bathrooms incorporate a bath with shower and are specially designed to accommodate a wheelchair. The cottages are furnished to a high standard. In the open-plan living room and kitchen areas there is an open fire, colour TV/video, split level electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge and sink with space under for easy access. The cottages sleep 3-5 people and beds are made up for your arrival. An extra fold-out bed, a cot and a high chair can be made available if required, and all linen is provided.

There is a payphone and a separate laundry with an automatic washing machine and tumble dryer. All linen and towels are provided and the pillows and duvets are feather-free. We can provide waterproof sheets on request. We also take shopping orders.

We are situated in the heart of Ryedale just south of the North Yorkshire Moors. The market town of Kirkbymoorside is 4 miles away and provides shopping facilities as well as wonderful pubs. The nearest railway and bus stations are at Malton (9 miles) where there are excellent shops and restaurants.

Visit Eden Camp, award winning wartime Museum and the nearby Ryedale Folk Museum for stimulating days out. The historic town of Helmsley is only 6 miles to the west.

Pickering (7 miles) has an indoor heated swimming pool and leisure centre and a steam railway through the North Yorkshire Moors.

We are very centrally situated, the coastal resorts of Whitby and Scarborough are 25 miles to the east and Thirsk (James Herriot Centre) is 20 miles to the west.

There are places to suit all tastes, ranging from “Riding the Bullet” at Flamingoland Theme Park and Zoo (6 miles away) to admiring the Rose Garden at Castle Howard (8 miles).
